About

Anne Arundel County's paddle-in primitive campsite on the Patuxent River near Harwood, reached only by canoe or kayak; there is no road access for launching or pickup. Two adjacent sites at river mile 51 on the downstream left bank, marked by a brown sign with a tent symbol and a set of stairs up from the river. Each site has a 12-by-12-foot tent pad, picnic table, and fire ring with a cooking grate; one portable toilet serves both. No drinking water and no trash cans - pack everything out. Up to six people per site, two nights maximum. Leashed pets allowed. Do not bring firewood. Private land adjoins the site.
