About
Alpena County campground at the county fairgrounds on the Thunder Bay River, inside the Alpena city limits with 37 acres of shoreline. 69 RV sites with electric, 12 of them directly on the river; the booking listing tags 54 sites with 30-amp and 18 with 50-amp service, with a mix of back-in and pull-through sites. Showers, a holding-tank disposal area, two free boat launches, a riverside wildfowl sanctuary, and a boarding barn and arena for campers bringing horses. Pets allowed. Sites book online through Campspot, with a monthly rate available.
Fees
$35/night per site; $230/week; seasonal site $1,800. Plus a $5 booking fee. One-night deposit to reserve (two nights on holidays), no refunds.
