About

Town of Acton campground on 56-acre Camp Acton Conservation Land, a former Boy Scout camp in the northeast corner of town. 8 wooded tent sites reached by short paths off an old woods road, each with a picnic table, stone fire ring, and firewood box; site 8 is accessible. Up to 10 people per site, individual or group. No water, no hookups, carry-in carry-out; a portable toilet stands at the parking lot April 1 to November 30. Camping is by permit from the Recreation Department: submit a request online at least 48 business hours ahead, then pay by cash or check once approved. A permit runs up to 72 hours. Campfires need police and fire notification and may be refused in dry conditions. Yellow loop trail through the property connects to the Spring Hill, Nashoba Brook, and Robbins Mill conservation lands.
