About
Located 65 km south of Nordegg on the Forestry Trunk Road (Highway 734), Ram Falls Campground provides campers with a rustic experience away from the noise and activity of city life. A walk down to the Day Use Area provides visitors with a breathtaking view of Ram Falls from the easy walking trails, and there are often the iconic Bighorn Sheep along the banks of the river.
The unserviced campground has vault toilets and offers one loop of first come, first served camping. There is no firewood or drinking water available on site. As the evenings can get quite chilly in the early and later parts of the season, it is advised that you bring an ample supply of firewood. Non-potable water pumps are also available throughout the campground.
When planning your trip to Ram Falls Campground, please note that the gravel road leading to the campground can be rough, steep, and winding in places. Cell phone reception is very limited in Ram Falls Provincial Park, and a physical map is highly recommended.
Reservations can be made 90 days in advance of arrival date.
Reservations: This campground offers a mix of first-come, first-served and reservable campsites.
Firewood: Firewood is not available. Help stop the spread of forest pests, Dutch elm disease and emerald ash borer. Plan to bring or buy firewood locally to burn on site.
Water: Please bring your own water. Water from the hand pump is not safe for consumption or use and should only be used to put out fires.
