About

Starve Hollow State Recreation Area's 17 Rent-A-Camp cabins are Indiana DNR's rustic, one-room cabin product - rough-sawn lumber walls and siding, two sets of bunk beds plus a sleeping loft, an exterior front porch, and electricity, but no running water, bathroom, kitchen, air conditioning, or heat (a nearby comfort station has water and restrooms). Sleeps up to 6. No pets, no smoking, and no tents or air conditioners permitted inside. Pet policy and exact construction aren't spelled out on this park's own page; details here follow the statewide DNR Rent-A-Camp product as described at Mississinewa Lake.

No season open/close dates are published for the cabins themselves (only these peak/non-peak rate windows); call ahead to confirm before planning a winter trip.
