Titan Trailhead the Forest Service's write-up
The Titan Trail is 4.8 miles long. The first 2 miles of the trail travel through dense old growth forest crossing several small creeks. The next 0.5 miles climbs through a vast fern field. Upon leaving the ferns the trail enters old growth forest for the next 1mile. At the 3.5 mile point the trail enters a larger fern field and slowly gains elevation for the next 1 mile. Reaching the top of the fern field, the route moves through very dense alder stands which provide cover for brown bears in the area. The remaining 1.2 miles enter the sub-alpine where patches of snow remain until late summer. There are no maintained facilities along the trail.

About this trail's facts
The lines are the US Forest Service's National Forest System trails layer (public domain), read 2026-10-16 and simplified for the map; the length is the line's, end to end, and the class, surface, grade and tread width are the forest's own entries where it publishes them - a forest that publishes the centreline alone has none. The trailheads and the points along the way are the Service's recreation points, and the write-ups its own recarea text, unedited. Heights come from USGS 3DEP through Terrain Tiles on AWS (Mapzen/Tilezen), read along each line and rounded; a short trail on steep ground can be off by a few tens of feet. Closures change: check the forest's own site before you go.
