About

West Virginia's oldest state forest, Seneca spans nearly 12,900 acres of remote Allegheny Mountain woodland with no cell service anywhere on the property (Wi-Fi is available at the forest office). Its 10 non-electric sites each have a tent pad, trailer pad, and pit toilet; cabins are also available, not counted in the total above. The campground is open spring through fall, weather permitting.

Fees

Nightly site fees at this campground are currently $29.99 per the state park reservation system (book.wvstateparks.com). Dogs and cats are allowed in West Virginia State Parks and Forests campgrounds on a leash and must be kept restrained, per the statewide rules and regulations (wvstateparks.com/rules-and-regulations); no per-pet fee is stated. Reservations canceled 60 or more days before arrival may receive a deposit refund; cancellations made 7-60 days before arrival receive a credit toward a future stay; cancellations within 7 days of arrival are not refundable. Check-in is 1 p.m., check-out is noon.
