About

Kumbrabow State Forest sits at one of the highest elevations in West Virginia, a remote, high-country forest of red spruce and northern hardwoods with trout streams and hiking trails. Its 13 non-electric sites are paired into "buddy sites" along a stream, with pit toilets on site and a bathhouse about two miles away; cabins are also available, not counted in the total above. The campground is open spring through fall, weather permitting.
