About
One of Virginia's original six state parks, Hungry Mother sits in the Blue Ridge Mountains around a 108-acre lake with a sandy beach, boat rentals, and a universally accessible fishing pier. Campers can choose full hookup sites, electric-and-water sites, or a tents-only loop, while cabins, yurts, and a historic six-bedroom lodge round out the overnight options (not counted in the total above). A conference center and more than 17 miles of trails add to the mix.
