About
Home of Virginia's legendary "fairy stones," this park centers on a 168-acre lake adjoining Philpott Reservoir in the foothills near the Blue Ridge Parkway. The main campground offers electric-and-water RV and tent sites; a separate 6-site tents-only group camping area and a 10-site equestrian campground with electric-and-water pull-through sites round out the overnight options, alongside cabins, yurts, and a bunkhouse (not counted in the total above). Swim at the lake beach, rent a rowboat, canoe, or paddleboat, or explore the surrounding hiking trails.
Fees

Dump station use is free for overnight campers ($10/visit for day visitors); non-camper shower access is $5/person. Pets are allowed at this campground at no additional charge, on a leash no longer than 6 feet and kept under control at all times, per Virginia State Parks' statewide camping pet policy; current rabies vaccination is strongly recommended.
