About
Utahraptor State Park sits about 15 miles northwest of Moab on one of the largest dinosaur bone beds in North America. Two campgrounds: Gastonia Campground, 61 sites with electricity and water hookups, modern showers and restrooms, potable water at the sites and a dump station; and Fossil Flats Improved Primitive Campground, 27 primitive sites with pit toilets in every loop, no potable water (a bottle-filling station is at the visitor center) and use of the Gastonia dump station. Both book on the state's reservation system. Fossil Flats is about half a mile southeast of Gastonia.
Fees
$50 per night for a partial-hookup site at Gastonia, $30 for a primitive site at Fossil Flats (peak season rates on the reservation system), plus the reservation fee
