Poinsett State Park, nicknamed the "Mountains of the Midlands" for its unusually hilly terrain, sits where the Sandhills meet the coastal plain along the Palmetto Trail. It offers 50 campsites, 24 with electrical service and 26 without, in a wooded setting; 5 rustic CCC cabins are also offered but not counted in the total above.
