About

This popular site offers 12 camping pads in a semi-open area along the shores of Burden Lake. There is good access for boats via an unimproved boat launch and the lake offers productive fishing for rainbow trout. The lake is annually stocked with Blackwater strain rainbows. About half of the sites offer space for large units, while the other half are more suitable for smaller units/tent sites.

Road access. Maintained to Recreation Sites and Trails BC standards by a partner or contractor. Facilities on file: boat launch, toilets, picnic tables, fire rings. First come, first served.

Getting there: From Mackenzie, head south to the Causeway Road. Turn left at the first T just off the highway. After crossing the bridge, merge with the Finlay North FSR at ~20km. The entrance to the site is located at 71km on the left side of the road. This road comes to a Y fork after approx. 1 km, and both sides of the fork lead to separate portions of the rec site.
