About
This scenic site is one of the most remote recreation sites in the Prince George/Mackenzie District (about 235 km off paved roads). The site is located right next to the waters of Uslika Lake and offers fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. The lake offers good fishing for wild stocks of a variety of species (rainbow trout, lake trout and bull trout). An unimproved gravel boat launch is available. The basic amenities of tables, fire rings and a pit toilet are provided.
Road access. User-maintained site with no regular servicing. Facilities on file: boat launch, toilets, picnic tables, fire rings. First come, first served.
Getting there: From Mackenzie, head south on Highway 39 and turn onto the Causeway Road (turn left at the fork just after leaving the highway). After crossing the bridge over Williston, keep to the right and merge with the Finlay North FSR. At ~175km on the Finlay North take the Finlay-Osilinka (47km section) which connects to the Thutade FSR (turn/keep left). The site is located a further 11kms.
