About
Closed: Recreation Sites and Trails BC lists this site as closed (Agate Point Recreation Site is closed until further notice due to dangerous trees that cannot be felled or stubbed. The Province is working with qualified biologists to determine a solution for re-opening the site).
A small day-use site with 3 tables and 1 outhouse. Located on the north shore of Tchesinkut Lake. There are several species of fish in the lake for anglers and a nice sand/gravel beach here.
Please avoid driving vehicles on the shoreline as this is sensitive fish habitat. In Canada, fish habitat is protected under the Federal Fisheries Act. Any alteration, disruption or destruction of fish habitat is a violation of the Fisheries Act. Violations can be reported to Fisheries and Oceans Canada at 1-800-465-4336 or to the provincial RAPP line at 1-877-952-7277
Please be sure to purchase a fishing licence and consult the BC Freshwater Fishing Regulations Synopsis for limits, special regulations and closures: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/sports-recreation-arts-and-culture/outdoor-recreation/fishing-and-hunting/freshwater-fishing/region_6_skeena.pdf
