About

Closed: Recreation Sites and Trails BC lists this site as closed (The Stella Bay Rec Site is closed until further notice. The outhouse on site is condemned and there is no washroom facility available. Please refrain from using this site until repairs can be made).

A single site at the end of the road with very limited turnaround space when site is occupied. Definitely not suitable for large trailers and motorhomes. Site has a small sandy beach and a rough boat launch.

Road access. User-maintained site with no regular servicing. Facilities on file: boat launch, toilets, litter barrels. First come, first served.

Getting there: Head north on Highway 19. Just after Roberts Lake (about 33 km from town), turn right onto Elk Bay Road (gravel). Drive to the junction of Stella Lake Road around 11.3 km from the highway. Turn left, follow it for another 1.8 km and the road will split. Veer left (the access road is narrow) and drive into site.
