About
Lake Taghkanic State Park surrounds its namesake lake near Ancram in Columbia County, about 11 miles southeast of Hudson. The campground has 55 campsites in the East End Camp 1 and 2 loops, plus hot showers and flush toilets; 27 cabins and 4 cottages are available separately as additional lodging. Pets are only allowed in the East End Camp 1 and 2 loops, parking lots, and hiking trails (2 per site max, 6-foot leash) - dogs are not permitted in cabins or cottages. Open mid-May through late October.
Fees
Standard sites run about $17 per night plus a $7.25 reservation fee, with an additional $5 per night for out-of-state campers. Confirm any electric hookup surcharge for your specific site when booking.
