About

Alger Island is a boat-access-only island campground on Fourth Lake near Old Forge in the Adirondacks, with six individual tent sites plus one group site. There is no vehicle access - bring your own boat or arrange a rental in Old Forge. The island's water supply is non-potable, so bring your own drinking water; pit toilets are provided but there are no showers.

Fees

Standard NY state park camping rates apply: about $17/night for a standard site, plus a one-time $7.25 reservation fee. Out-of-state visitors pay an additional $5/night. Confirm current pricing before booking.
