Worthington State Forest

Worthington State Forest, in the Delaware Water Gap near Columbia, runs along two miles of Delaware River frontage with a boat ramp and access to the Delaware River Water Trail. The campground has 78 tent and trailer sites (sites 1-23 tent-only; 29-82 open to tents, travel trailers, and motorhomes) and 3 group sites (35-person capacity each), none with hookups. Showers, modern toilets, and drinking water are available at the main sites; the group sites have water and restrooms but no showers. The forest experiences frequent power outages due to its remote location, during which flush facilities close and composting/portable toilets are used instead. Pets are not permitted in the campground, though trained service dogs are welcome.

This park's own page does not list a per-night fee for its standard tent/trailer sites. New Jersey's standard statewide rate at comparable state park campgrounds is $20/night for NJ residents and $25/night for non-residents, plus a $5 reservation fee - confirm the exact rate for this park before booking.
