About
The campground is considered "primitive," designed to furnish only the camper's basic needs. The campsites consist of a cleared area, fire ring, and table. Also, vault toilets, garbage cans, and drinking water are available.
This state forest campground is nestled under a healthy stand of red pines on the lake's western shore. All the sites are laid out along a long, narrow loop that extends toward the peninsula's point. Sites are spread apart nicely to allow for privacy, and even those away from the lake are an easy walk across the loop to the swimming beach.
18 primitive campsites, 1 of them accessible. First come, first served for individual sites; pay the camping fee online on the day you arrive, or at a state park ranger station. Managed from Scenic State Park (218-571-2600). In George Washington State Forest.
