This rustic campground features a lakefront picnic area and great opportunities for fishing and paddling. The campground is heavily wooded and most of the campsites have direct access to the lake. The Manistee River and Au Sable River are nearby and offer excellent canoeing and fishing opportunities. There are numerous canoe liveries available in the Grayling area.
There are 37 sites for tent, small trailer and large trailer use. There are 9 walk-in sites that require you to hike in from a designated trailhead. The campground is located 6.6 miles west of Grayling via M-72 West, McIntyres Landing Road, Regimental Way and Euclid Avenue.
37 rustic campsites, 9 of them walk-in, $20 a night. Open all year; the road may not be plowed in winter. First come, first served; register at the campground kiosk on the day you arrive. Vault toilets and a hand-pump well for drinking water; no electricity or hookups. One camping unit and six people per site, 15 nights at most. Managed from Hartwick Pines State Park (989-348-7068).
