About
Fort Frederick State Park surrounds Maryland's largest standing pre-Revolutionary War stone fort, on the Potomac River/C&O Canal. 29 individual family campsites (non-electric only) plus 4 separate youth-group campsites, reached via the same entrance as the main campground (not included in the campsite total above). The park's own descriptive text mentions only "rinse off stations," but the live amenities list confirms real showers are available here. Note that the "dumpster" mentioned on the park's own page is a trash dumpster, not an RV sanitary dump station - there is no dump station at this campground. Tent camping runs the first Saturday in May through the first Sunday in November; self-contained RVs may camp year-round. Reservable through the Maryland Park Service's own ReserveAmerica/Aspira contract, hosted at parkreservations.maryland.gov (not a reserveamerica.com subdomain, though it runs the same underlying platform - confirmed live, "Powered by Aspira").
Fees
Campsite Non-Electric $15.00-$16.00/night. Displayed rates are the vendor's own published BASE rates and do NOT reflect holiday/weekend/residency surcharges or a pet fee (Maryland applies these as add-ons rather than publishing a separate resident/non-resident base rate the way some other states do).
