About

US Forest Service campground. This campground, located some 30 miles north of Alturas along Crowder Flat Road should be known for its true beauty and solitude. The campground circles the south-eastern section of the lake. A dirtboat-ramp is located just to the north of the entrance road. No drinking water is supplied at this campground. Pack out what you pack in. Open season: Facilities open as weather permits; usually mid-May to late October.. Not reservable through Recreation.gov, so plan on first-come, first-served; check with the ranger district for current conditions and fees.
