About

US Forest Service campground. Near the Wild and Scenic North Fork Malheur River, fishing for Rainbow Trout is popular. Within 1/2 of a mile of the campsite is the North Fork Malheur Trailhead. The area is an excellent base camp for hunters, hikers or anyone just looking for a quiet get away. The road in to this area is quite rough and becomes very muddy after periods of rain. Pack out what you pack in. Not reservable through Recreation.gov, so plan on first-come, first-served; check with the ranger district for current conditions and fees.
