US Forest Service campground. Adjacent to; the northern border of the Strawberry Mountain Wilderness, this campground offers opportunities for stream fishing, hiking, hunting, and Wilderness access. From the campground Slide Connector Trail #386 starts at the campground. Set amongst ponderosa pine trees along Slide Creek this campground is a only 1.5 miles from Strawberry Campground and the Strawberry Basin Trailhead. Pack out what you pack in. Not reservable through Recreation.gov, so plan on first-come, first-served; check with the ranger district for current conditions and fees.
