About

US Forest Service campground. Racoon Campground was developed to replace some campsites that were located too close to the creek. The East Fork meanders through the forested valley shaded by tall ponderosa pines and bordered by grasses, alders, and streamside hardwoods. Not reservable through Recreation.gov, so plan on first-come, first-served; check with the ranger district for current conditions and fees.
