About

US Forest Service campground. This campground has six campsites along the stream 1/2 mile below the outlet of Toad Lake. A popular lake with fair fishing for mostly small Brook Trout, and some Rainbow Trout as well. Shores vary from timber to rocks and meadows. The fly fishing can be excellent. Many sensitive and rare plants are found in this location, and it is an excellent nature walk area. Boats are not allowed. Pack out what you pack in. Not reservable through Recreation.gov, so plan on first-come, first-served; check with the ranger district for current conditions and fees.
