US Forest Service campground. These 30 designated sites are located are spread out and scattered along Forest Service Road 900. Each site offers views of the water and of the Flat Tops and are designated by a numbered post. Each site has its own picnic table and permanent fire grate. Be prepared as these sites can be windy, and do not provide much shade or tree coverings. Please pack out what you pack out. Nearby amenities include:Bear Lake Picnic Area Yamcolo Reservoir Mandall Lakes Trail #1121 Smith Lake Trail #1194 Stillwater Parking Area: Bear River Trail #1120 , North Derby Trail #1122 , East Fork Trail #1119 Sand Creek Trail #1123 ATV Trail: Ute-Heart Lake Trail #1110. Open season: Late May/Early June . Not reservable through Recreation.gov, so plan on first-come, first-served; check with the ranger district for current conditions and fees.
