US Forest Service campground. Located near the confluence of Phelps Creek and the Chiwawa River, about 23 miles from Fish Lake. There are 7 tent sites and 6 equestrian sites, restricted to 30 ft. max. for vehicles and trailers. Pack out what you pack in. Not reservable through Recreation.gov, so plan on first-come, first-served; check with the ranger district for current conditions and fees.
