US Forest Service campground. River Side Campground is located along the Deadwood River at the north end of scenic Deadwood Reservoir at an elevation of 5,300 feet. Boating, fishing and hiking are popular activities. Pack out what you pack in. Open season: Mid June- End of September. Not reservable through Recreation.gov, so plan on first-come, first-served; check with the ranger district for current conditions and fees.
