US Forest Service campground. Often overlooked, Emigrant Creek is a rarely used campground shaded by huge ponderosa pines. This quiet 7 site campground 's location along Emigrant Creek offers convenient trout fishing opportunities. In addition, the campground is a short drive from the top of Snow Mountain and the Snow Mountain Fire Lookout. The area around the fire lookout offers panoramic views of the surrounding region. The campground is an excellent place for visitors to enjoy a quiet get away. Pack out what you pack in. Not reservable through Recreation.gov, so plan on first-come, first-served; check with the ranger district for current conditions and fees.
