US Forest Service campground. Currently closed due to the mountain pine beetle outbreak. 8900-foot elevation. 7 campsites near the South Fork of the Michigan River. This area has good moose habitat. Fishing is available in the river. Open season: Late May. Not reservable through Recreation.gov, so plan on first-come, first-served; check with the ranger district for current conditions and fees.
