US Forest Service campground. Temporary Closed; due to hazardous trees. These sites are located in a rustic camp. Campsites are suitable for tents and trailers. This site is home to what was once; the world 's tallest ponderosa pine tree--it is now the second tallest! Facilities: 12 campsites with picnic tables, and fire pits, drinking water (hand pump), 3 vault toilets, trash service (during open season). Pack out what you pack in. Not reservable through Recreation.gov, so plan on first-come, first-served; check with the ranger district for current conditions and fees.
