About
US Forest Service campground. Long Lake Campground offers nicely shaded campsites that can accommodate large vehicles. Its amenities include an old fashion pump-handle well that provides the campground with potable water. A beautiful clear water lake stocked with cutthroat trout is fly fishing only and combustion engines are prohibited. Beautiful views of the 12.8 acre lake can be seen from the 1.5 mile trail that traverses along the waters edge. You can hear and see wildlife living on the lake including the common loon. Chipmunks are abundant in the campground so please remember to store all food properly before leaving your campsite. Pack out what you pack in. Not reservable through Recreation.gov, so plan on first-come, first-served; check with the ranger district for current conditions and fees.
