About

US Forest Service campground. This small campground has private tent sites close to the lake with access to a fishing dock. There is a small boat launch and the lake is noncombustible motors only. The campground also hosts the Hoodoo Canyon Trail #17 Trail Head. This is a 4.7-mile hiking trail that also intersects the Emerald Lake #94 hiking trail. Wildlife has been seen frequently at the lake which includes moose and whitetail deer. This area is frequently used by fishermen, hikers, and hunters. Pack out what you pack in. Not reservable through Recreation.gov, so plan on first-come, first-served; check with the ranger district for current conditions and fees.
