About
US Forest Service campground. Middle Piney Lake Campground is located on beautiful Middle Piney Lake, and is a no fee day use site. There is a vault toilet that is cleaned and maintained regularly, but no trash or water services. This is a pack-in/pack-out site. Enjoy a spectacular view of the lake and great fishing. There is a boat ramp at the lake, but Wyoming Game and Fish regulations allow non-motorized and electric powered boats on the lake. The trailhead to access the Wyoming Range National Recreation Trail and Wyoming Peak are located at here; and visitors are a short drive away from the North Piney Lake ATV trail to the north and the historic Lander Cutoff of the Oregon Trail to the south. Not reservable through Recreation.gov, so plan on first-come, first-served; check with the ranger district for current conditions and fees.
