This area is currently partially closed to camping per Forest Order 0513-21-13- There is no camping within 350 feet of the Kern River - this area is day-use only until further notice. Dispersed Camping on Upper Kern River approximately 4 to 5 miles north from Kernville. There is no water available at this location. Not reservable through Recreation.gov, so plan on first-come, first-served; check with the ranger district for current conditions and fees.
