US Forest Service campground. Generally open May to October, as weather and conditions allow. Access to Kingston Canyon and Groves Lake. High clearance vehicle needed. Surrounded by water birch, cottonwood, and Russian olive trees at the mouth of a canyon along a creek. Stream runs through the campground. Pack out what you pack in. Open season: May. Not reservable through Recreation.gov, so plan on first-come, first-served; check with the ranger district for current conditions and fees.
