US Forest Service campground. Rocky Knoill is a developed campground near Silver Lake with 18 designated sites, some of which can accommodate RVs. Mixed confers provide lots of shade in the hot summer, and a lovely stream borders the campground. Water is available via hand pump. Campfire rings and tables are provided. Open season: Summer. Not reservable through Recreation.gov, so plan on first-come, first-served; check with the ranger district for current conditions and fees.
