US Forest Service campground. Upper Eightmile Campground is near Forest Road 44. This campground is close to the 44 Trail System which is a popular multi-use trail system. Campers have access to Eightmile Loop Trail #496 from the campground. The ~ 6-mile loop is a popular hiking and mountain biking loop. Pack out what you pack in. Not reservable through Recreation.gov, so plan on first-come, first-served; check with the ranger district for current conditions and fees.
