US Forest Service campground. Sturgeon River Campground is located along the Sturgeon River, near Sturgeon River Gorge Wilderness. It provides the outdoor eventurist with several opportunities to get out and see and explore nature at its best. There are 8 sites that have a picnic table, fire ring, and lantern post. It also has a double vault toilet. Pack out what you pack in. Open season: January-December. Not reservable through Recreation.gov, so plan on first-come, first-served; check with the ranger district for current conditions and fees.
