US Forest Service campground. North Fork Catherine Creek Campground is a unique facility as the campsites are spread out over 1 mile along the river. Each campsite is set back in the cool evergreen forest and is a popular area in the summer months for those wanting to escape the heat, enjoy the sounds of the stream, view wildlife, or take a short hike along the creek. Also located nearby is the North Fork Catherine Creek Group Campground, that is available on Rec.gov for $40/night. Pack out what you pack in. Not reservable through Recreation.gov, so plan on first-come, first-served; check with the ranger district for current conditions and fees.
