About

US Forest Service campground. The group camping areas within Twin Knobs Recreation Area make it easy to bring the whole family to the lake! The East Group Camping Area features a covered pavilion with picnic tables and enough open camping space to serve 100 individuals and up to 75 vehicles. The Tent Group Camping Area has a maximum capacity of 60 individuals and 41 vehicles. Both group camping areas have access to a nearby bathhouse and are just steps away from the water. During your stay, you will have also access to all the amenities and facilities of the 700-acre Twin Knobs Recreation Area including a boat ramp, campground store, sandy swimming beach and scenic trails. Open season: 2nd Friday in March - 1st Sunday in November. Not reservable through Recreation.gov, so plan on first-come, first-served; check with the ranger district for current conditions and fees.
