US Forest Service campground. This little campground is approximately 1 mile from the Headquarters Campground and gets most of it 's use when the 4 other Medicine Lake Campgrounds are full. If you are looking for close proximity to the lake but would prefer a quiet, more secluded environment, try Schonchin Springs Campground. Pack out what you pack in. Open season: Facilities open as weather permits; usually early July to late October.. Not reservable through Recreation.gov, so plan on first-come, first-served; check with the ranger district for current conditions and fees.
