About

Overview

Collins is a quiet campground located along the shore of the Duckabush River. Several of the campsites are near the river. There are 16 campsites, 10 that will accommodate tents, trailers, and RVs up to 21 feet in length. Six of the campsites are tent sites with spurs for parking.

Campsites at this location is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and visitors are required to physically arrive at the campground to purchase and claim a site. Once on-site, you are able to pay for your campsite(s) by scanning a QR code using the Scan & Pay feature on the Recreation.gov mobile app.

Please download the free Recreation.gov mobile app prior to your arrival as some remote areas have limited or no cellular service. Adding a payment method to the app before arrival is recommended as well.

Recreation

Hiking, fishing, hunting, waterfall viewing and river walks are possible in the area.  The Duckabush trailhead is located one mile west of Collins Campground.

Murhut Falls Trail #828 is 1.3 miles up # 2530 road.  Interrorem Historic Cabin, Ranger Hole Trailhead (a trail to a popular fishing area), and Interrorem Interpretive Nature Trail are located 1.5 miles east of the campground.

WARNING:  River contains swift water, rapids, and waterfalls. River is not floatable.  Use extreme caution in or near the water.

Facilities

There are 16 campsites, 10 that will accommodate tents, trailers, and RVs up to 21 feet in length. Six of the campsites are tent sites with spurs for parking.  Tables, fire rings, and vault toilets are available within the camp- ground. Potable water is provided east of the campground 1.5 miles, from a hand pump well at the trailhead near Interrorem Cabin.  Please pack out your garbage and leave a clean campsite.

Fees

The regular $14.00 camping fee will cover two licensed passenger vehicles and a maximum of eight persons.  Golden Age/Access & Interagency Senior/Access cards are accepted for 50% reduced fee.  The two-vehicle rule may consist of any combination of the following:  Two passenger cars, trucks, and/or recreation vehicles (NOTE: boat trailers and recreation trailers are not considered passenger vehicles).  An additional $5.00 fee is charged for each passenger vehicle over the two-vehicle rule.  The 8-person maximum capacity per campsite still applies.
