About
Ouachita Parish Police Jury campground on Cheniere Lake, southwest of West Monroe, among cypress and tupelo with boat and canoe trails cut through them. 10 sites: 8 RV spaces overlooking the lake with water, 30-amp electric, a picnic table and a dump station, plus 2 tent pads with water and electrical outlets. The sites are accessible, and the bathhouse is air-conditioned with a washer and dryer. Reserve by contacting the park - there is no online booking. The lake is one of six recreation areas the parish runs here, and the wildlife includes beaver, otter, wading birds and alligators.
Fees
RV space with water and 30-amp electric: $34.08/night including tax. Tent pad with water and electrical outlets: $22.72/night including tax. Cash is not accepted, and card payments add a 3.99% fee.
