About
Primitive county-run camping area on the Bluestone Wildlife Management Area, along the New River arm of Bluestone Lake above Hinton. Summers County provides and charges for the camping here even though the surrounding land is a state wildlife management area. Sites are primitive - no hookups of any kind - with river and lake access, fishing, and hiking. First-come, first-served; the county takes no reservations. The county gives the season as May into November, water levels permitting, and does not publish how many sites the area holds.
