St. Johns River Water Management District camping area at River Lakes Conservation Area, one of the district's designated primitive campsites along the St. Johns River marsh between lakes Poinsett, Winder and Washington, west of Melbourne. Boat access; ramps on State Road 520, U.S. 192 and at Lake Washington County Park. A single campsite, up to four tents. Free, but a permit is required. Reservations: online. The district lists this site as Palms Camp.
