About
South Florida Water Management District camping area at KICCO and Blanket Bay Slough, along the Kissimmee River south of River Ranch. Five primitive campsites; the district maps tent sites at the old town of KICCO and at Tick Island Slough, Rattlesnake Hammock, Chuck Wagon and Long Hammock. The Florida National Scenic Trail runs 11 miles through the property. Tent, RV and pop-up camping by permit. Free, but a Special Use License is required. Reservations: online.
