St. Johns River Water Management District camping area at J.P. Hall Bayard Point Conservation Area, south of Green Cove Springs. A single campsite. Primitive; up to four tents per site. Bank fishing, hiking, bicycling and horseback riding on the property, which fronts seven miles of the St. Johns River. Free, but a permit is required. Reservations: online. The district maps two individual sites and one group site at Bayard; this is the eastern individual site.
